The pointed edge of the forcep really helps me grasp the ILM in one go; the grip and the control it offers is excellent, I use this forcep in all my membrane peelings, ILM, TRD and even in proliferative diabetic retinopathy cases, even though PDR ILM is well known to be adherent.
...Make it easier to engage just the right amount of membrane for peeling, and perform particularly well with thicker membranes. The tips are precise yet broad enough to minimise shredding of the membrane.
The 25G DORC Eckardt Forceps are the most versatile forceps I have come across. I find them ideal in all types of macula surgery from ILM peel to adherent PVR membranes.
